1968 Ford Torino GT 302 Restoration
The customer wanted to preserve the original specs of the car while updating the
engine for unleaded gas by adding hardened valve seats and sodium filled valves.
We also bored the engine .30 over when it was pulled and rebuilt.
While the engine was being rebuit the engine compartment was cleaned, sanded, painted
and detailed for a factory fresh look and feel. Before the engine was reinstalled
it was painted in factory colors. The pulleys, brackets, fittings and manifolds
were also glassbeaded and painted.
The engine was tuned for optimal performance and the origional decals were located
and applied to complete the new look. Stop by Jimmy Cones in Mt Airy on the 1st
and 3rd Saturday evening in the summer to see the car and ask the owner James about
his experience working with Ronnie.
